I highly recommend booking an appointment with Hunter for a haircut! Hunter is the sweetest stylist ever!! He is an expert in the dusting technique where you just dust off the split ends instead of a full trim or haircut when length comes off. He alternates appointments between dusting and a regular haircut/trim. This has helped me grow my hair longer and healthier. It’s been pretty difficult finding a stylist who does dusting and is good at blunt hair cuts (I don’t like layers)… so I’m really thankful I found Hunter :)

I've been looking for a good place ever since I moved back to the Bay Area with no luck until I finally came across Umbrella Salon - Bill Vu is quite literally one of the best stylists I have ever come across. His ability to read how your hair grows out is elite and I was especially impressed with the time he spent to understand what I was trying to go for. He did an excellent job and I cant recommend him enough. He even spent a super long time using just scissors instead of clippers to have more control on the sides. If you're looking for a good haircut experience in DT San Jose, Umbrella is definitely a lot better than other places in the area (I've tried pretty much all of them).
