I called this facility to secure a delivery for a patient. The receptionist that answered the phone was incredibly rude. Not only did she place me on hold, indefinitely, she never came back to the line and I called back and she acted like she was too busy to speak with me. Then she proceeded to transfer me to two other people. I pray that I never have to leave a loved one in hands of a facility run with such impatience and nonchalance. Thumbs all the way down.

My mom is here in independent living. She has been for almost 10 years and she will be 100 this year. This is a “Cadillac” facility. She loves it. The staff is top notch and the facilities excellent. Cost is not for the faint of heart. For most there is a pricey buy-in that is based on the size of unit but what is hard is the 3-5% annual escalator on your monthly “room and board” fees that also vary with the size of your unit. So you need to prepared for that. In 9 years the monthly fee has increased over 1400/month, from around 4800 a month to 6200/month for a 1300 sq ft unit, well in excess of inflation so if you are on a small fixed income this place will not work for you. If cost is not a concern, then go for it. I understand there is a lengthy waiting list for Two bedroom units.

I work at an agency who has clients at Eskaton. I am a caregiver who sees my clients a couple times a week. Today I came into the build through a side door to avoid the rain! I ran into the Director, he noticed I was not wearing my mask. I apologized trying to go to my car he stopped me demanding who I was where I'm from who I worked for...I was not impressed with him as he very rude and demanding! After I gave him what he asked for he said "now you can go to your car and get your mask!" So I don't think your director should treat visitors that way. It was very uncomfortable and I felt he was attacking me. Not good!
