Their officers will flat out lie at the expense of your livelihood when they have no evidence of fault in a car accident. This particular officer was not at the scene and received testimony from both parties in the accident, but decided to place blame on one party with no evidence because the driver was an Asian lady. You simply cannot conclude in your report that one party is at fault when you have no evidence and did not witness the accident. I definitely believe that racism had a part in this as the responding officer seemed to shrug the obviously ailing asian lady off because he couldn't understand her accent. Do better.

This has got to be one of the worst police departments I have ever dealt with being a resident in Elk Grove for five years. Officers are usually non-responsive to community calls and if they do respond, it's hours after the initial call was made. What is the point in having a police department at all? I live near Oasis park and at times, the music is unreasonably LOUD and at other times, the park is fast becoming a place where drug activity is becoming an issue too. EGPD does absolutely nothing to serve the community in this area with these ongoing issues. There is reason to feel unsafe in this part of EG because of the lack of response from the police department. The police chief should resign.

Sat there waiting for 2-3 hours after being told to meet an officer at the PD, left around 5:15pm. Took a few weeks, but am being helped now!
