Midway is a large antique mall (30,000 sq ft)with many different vendor booths. If you’re looking for all things MCM, this place is for you. Shelving, furniture, electronic cabinets, corded hair dryers— the booths up front quite literally are roped off with museum like staging of the available antiques to buy. If you like rummaging through boxes, you’ll love a few of the booths; if you want to find some art by Salvador Dali, there’s at least one for you. As you head to the back of the store, you’ll find a different personality, but the charm remains. I found a few old primitive frames and couldn’t believe to have spent almost 2 hours there. Checking out was easy but slow. The computers they use to check out people with, don’t scan merchandise, does not track inventory nor does it process credit cards. The employees do all of that for the computer and then type it in. Overall, it’s a good place to walk around in, a fun place to see all the things you remember in your mother’s or grandmother’s home and with the changing inventory I could see monthly visits a possibility. Prices are a little high but the selection is good. The folks are friendly and jt seemed to me their dog might be the actual owner of the place.
