I had an awful experience with Catholic Charities and it took me years to get away from them. They came to someone else's house looking for me after I signed a document saying I no longer wanted to receive their services. One caseworker was very cruel to me about things that had happened to me because I'm not catholic. Even years after I've gotten away they still try to contact me. It feels like trying to get away from a cult. Non-Catholics should be very careful with them.

They are very helpful & understanding to your needs.

I would definitely call catholic charities. I believe they can help with alot of different services. But DSS can also help with food and HEAP which pays for your utility bill. Or a certain percentage of it.
I believe so but call them to get the best information on it.
