I’m convinced nobody works at this office, embarrassing that this place is supposed to assist people but they can’t be bothered to pick up the phone. Not sure how this type of quality is allowed. Shameful

I’m in disbelief as to how a program is there to help, and you try reporting a case that got your attention and the person on the other line is demanding a date of birth. They are in the wrong job, imagine you a elderly in trouble where do you turn🤔

The regional offices take walk-ins. The nearest regional office is 20 Meadow Rd, Windsor, CT.
No. This location is the main headquarters. You can apply at any of DSS's regional offices throughout the state. They don't accept applications at this building.
All DSS Field Offices are currently open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This location is NOT the Hartford field office. That office is located at 20 Meadow Rd. in Windsor.
You can get one from the call number. Its an option on the phone or you can go into the office to get a pbudget sheet
There is a computer match between IRS and the state office of child support services. Parents in the state that owe more than a certain amount of overdue child support, by law, will have their tax refunds intercepted.
The only time a specific worker would be assigned to a particular case is if it is a pending application for long term care or home care waiver services. Otherwise you will likely speak to a different worker each time you call or visit an office. DSS workers are BUSY. That's why the wait time for phone calls can be two hours, because phones are ringing off the hook. If you truly have a valid complaint to make, it should be to the worker's supervisor. If you had an unsatisfactory experience with Amazon customer service, you would ask to speak to that person's supervisor, not to Jeff Bezos. The easiest way to locate the worker's supervisor would be to go to the office where he or she works and ask at the front desk, and ask to speak to that person.
No. Undocumented noncitizens are not eligible for either Snap or Medicaid. Under some circumstances emergency services, such as being taken to the hospital for a life threatening injury, can be paid.
They don't answer the phone calls
