I love it, it's a beautiful place to go for a walk with the family.

Maybe the pic on their page was taken in 2017 wen the lake was FULL.. not only full but at it's MAX. A small blow-out was threatening to take out the whole dam and thousands were evacuated. Does anyone remember that? I sure do. Sadly the lake is now at an all time low -similar to dozens of lakes throughout the west. Even with the plight of this "Mega Drought," i will always love this place. We had a houseboat here for several years and hope to have another in the future. Praying for rain🌧️!

The dam crest is a great place for a morning walk. It would be even better if the dog walked would pick up their pets poop and I wish the vehicle traffic would slow down, especially the fisherman with their boats. But other than that it had great views!

I have been asking the same question for 4 years now,,have they replaced the severely cracked head gates?
Dwr should tell people the truth about oroville dam,There work going on up there we the public dont know anything about why the secrecy, something to hide!!!
Marisella I recommend to google- U.S. Forestry California. Type in Oroville Fires. South Paradise has a fire as of last night 45% contained. Embers brought in from the fire and winds from Oroville or surrounding towns. Grassvalley has or had fires. Things are changing and changing fast because of winds. Firefighters are being brought in from other states. Jerome Arizona sent a truck in yesterday. Not sure where they were went. There are alot of fires in California!
Government conspiracy.
Imagine the panic and gridlock waiting til someone else (gov) tells you to leave. Be wise, make that decision for yourself, leave now.
On the Dam, no as long as there's construction there you need a badge to enter the dam.
No, but the water level is very low.
Yup
When we went the bathrooms were open at the entrance to the dam. I don't know about by the launch ramps.
No charges.
No that I know of it.
No. I tried to go to the top of the dam today and walk across to see the spillway like I had done five years or so ago but access is limited to construction personal only. Accordingly to a local newspaper report access will be restored to the public at some point but I have not seen a firm ETA UPDATE:. As of today, 07/01/19, I saw a television report showing that the top of the Oroville Dam is now open to foot/bicycle traffic.
It is a lake, it retains the water when it rains, it is a very beautiful place ....
look it up on youtube and wikipedi
What happens with the dam is already fully repaired and will not be disturbed
"Is the current level" I'm sorry but I don't understand your question.
