We recently took our two cats in for immunizations. This was not their first visit and they had noted that one cat was difficult to handle due to anxiety. When our name was called, we were told we couldn’t go back with the cats because they were sedating a dog. I found that odd. They brought the cats out and mentioned it was a challenge. It wasn’t until I got home that I noticed they charged $50 for a handling fee. I would not have a problem with that had I been told. I have been charged from other vets to sedate them in order to handle them. The cats were not sedated. We returned to inquire about the fee and one technician came out and told my husband, “ I heard you say, watch out for this one, he’s an asshole” My husband simply doesn’t use that language and certainly wouldn’t use it towards a pet. At that point we knew they were going to lie and we were wasting our time. We won’t go back.
