I enjoy this bookstore as it is one of my favorites in North Carolina. I've been shopping with Pages Past in person and I frequently order from online. They have a great selection of North Carolina related materials that I often seek. Personally, I've only had great experiences with this store. After reading some of the reviews, I suppose someone could have a different experience, but I cannot say I have ever had a bad experience. Thanks for having such a great bookshop open to the public that caters to book collections such as mine. :)

Excellent book store and friendly staff. I’ve sold many books to Roger and always walk away happy. He always has an excellent collection and fair prices!

We loved this quaint little bookstore. So many excellent finds, especially if you love antique books! They are, in fact, open for walk ins, make sure you pick the door with the “indoor shopping” sign on it, there is only one entrance to the store! Very lovely used bookshop.

Drove out here during posted business hours, to a store which claimed to have in store shopping, only to find that they are closed and won’t let anyone in. A waste of an hour driving out here and screwing around here for parking and such. I often spend hundreds in a book shop but it is unlikely I will ever try to return to this one.

Questions & Answers

My name is Dan Doherty. I need to find where I might take several books dealing with automotive repair.

Thanks for your inquiry. We generally don't buy many books on automotive repair, unless it's the most recent edition. Usually folks have older copies of Chilton's books, and those haven't sold for us in the past. I believe we ended up donating those to one of the local libraries. Occasionally one might have a specialty book, like a recent repair book on Porsche, and as you might expect, those do better. But if the book is a bit older and out of date, then they are hard to sell. Thanks for your interest. Sincerely, Roger March

Hello, I have a copy of The Shepherd of the Hills by Harold Bell Wright. Good condition. I'm wondering if the book has any value as a vintage book? Thank you, Judy Schreiner Salisbury, NC

Thanks for your inquiry. I'm afraid that books by Harold Bell Wright are not in demand anymore. Most of his novels are romance books and were heavily published in the early 20th century. We currently have an attractive 1907 copy on our $1 shelf. We don't buy much fiction, but I'm always interested in hearing about Americana, especially quality books on North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, and the Civil War, the American Revolution, and Colonial History. Thanks again for your inquiry. Kind Regards, Roger March Pages Past Used & Rare Books 1837 Spring Garden St. Greensboro, NC 27403 336-574-1877

Would you be willing to buy back used mystery novels?

Hi Leigh, Thanks for your inquiry. We don't do a lot with modern fiction or paperbacks. We have bought mysteries, but usually the older ones (1940s & before) in their dust jackets. When some of the more recent ones come in through larger collections, we will often put them on the dollar shelf. But thanks so much for thinking of us, and do let me know if there is any other way we may be of assistance.
