PARKING!!! I arrived early but still had to park another block away. Not knowing how long I would be there, I put enough money in the meter for 1.75 hours. I only visited the probate division but they were slow and I was 10 minutes late getting back to my car which resulted in a ticket.I knew I was getting close to the expiration time, but I couldn’t leave because I was close to being seen and I didn’t want to lose my place in the queue and have to start over. (Yes, we were told that after we signed in). IMO, if you’re parked for court business, and the courthouse is short-staffed or running behind, they should validate your ticket or waive the fee. Also, there should be signs in the parking lots instructing you to leave your phone and electronic devices in your car or be prepared to pay for a locker. Not fun walking almost 2 blocks to the entrance to discover you have to go back for a quarter. The security staff are very friendly. However, the clerks and assistants are not—-especially the ones in the payment office… rude and disrespectful. I don’t need smart aleck answers to my questions, no matter how many times they’ve heard the same thing asked before.

It's not a good place to park the people there are not real friendly everybody has an attitude it takes forever just to see the judge or get anything done they're so disrespectful or they wanted your money it doesn't make no sense I never seen a county like it you can't even bring your cell phones in

If court was not delayed or closed you are still expected to be there. If it was for criminal court just know the judge may and can issue an (OFA) order for your arrest.
nccourts.gov/court-dates Scroll down to find my court date. Enter your last name where it says defendant name. Press search. You will see a list with everyone with that last name on the right side.

Call the DA office and have the hospital fax proof that you are hospitalized. The clerk office can't help you. Only the DA can in this case

It depends on the status of the ticket and what the charge is. Remember that paying online is pleading guilty as charged, and may hurt your driving record and your insurance rates. I never advise just paying off moving violations.
