The Spears YMCA pool is very nice for families wanting to get some wiggles out or individuals wanting to do laps. The shallow end is always open for kids and has a few different water fountains at the very shallow end. It gradually goes from very shallow to 3 ft. This area requires the child to at least have a red band to be in the water without an adult. Next there is a mid-depth area that gradually goes from 3 ft to 5 ft. This is a good area to begin building confidence as kids learn to swim. The deep part of the pool is 7 ft deep and is frequently open for laps. The YMCA also does some aquatic exercise classes in the pool. A great asset for the YMCA
