Just have to say our Lawton Stables experience was f#<king awesome!!! It was our 1st time there and also my girlfriend and her daughters 1st time riding and they loved it!!! The staff was courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and all around fantastic!!! The horses were very well trained and taken care of and the petting zoo was a welcome attraction also all the animals were friendly!!!Definitely recommend going there for family outing, with your significant other or just with friends. Sorry about the language just the my way of saying this place is Rockstar, Superstar status!!! 😝🤘

As a first time rider, Lawton stables did a wonderful job making sure I felt comfortable on the horse. In fact Trigger was a delight and very gentle. Our guide Chloe was knowledgeable, wonderful and helpful on the trail. She knows the preserve area and horses very well. Would encourage you taking a ride to see a different perspective of sea pines.

1st time horseback riding for my grandson, Oliver, 8, and 2nd for grandpa. Couldn't have been better. So easy to schedule, and check-in on day of ride a breeze. All staff so friendly to everyone and took extra care to ensure a fun experience for Oliver. Bridal path was beautiful and guides at both ends were awesome. Oliver loved his gentle horse, Cinderella, and said he hopes he gets her next year. This definitely will be added to our list of must-do activities on the island. I would highly recommend Lawton Stables for a fun experience.

My husband and I had the best time at Lawton Stables today! It was both of our first time riding a horse and the staff was very friendly and helpful. As beginners, the horses were very calm and easy to steer. The scenery on the trail was beautiful and our tour guide was exceptionally friendly and informative on the lands and our horses. I would recommend Lawton stables to anyone looking for an adventure on HHI!

For the 9am ride you would need to arrive by 8:30 and the ride would be finished by 10:15 at the absolute latest. It’s 1 hour of ride time but sometimes rides leave a smidge late. Reservations must be made at least one hour in advance but there is always the chance of a ride selling out if you wait until the last minute. There is a 24 hour cancellation police but if a trail ride is canceled by the staff for any reason, a refund is issued if you don’t want to reschedule. May is a relatively quite month with the exception of Memorial Day weekend but we do still sell out rides and the 9am is most popular that time of year.
Yes. For the safety of all horses and riders, our trail ride is walking only.
Hi Debbie. We offer a group discount if your ride size is 10 or more people. The price for the trail ride ranges from $65-$75 per person depending on what time of year you are visiting.
They do not offer beach riding to my knowledge. A phone call to their office may be able to direct you to a location that does offer that option.
Hi Nolan! The price changes based on the season. Currently the price is $70 per person for a 1 hour long ride. In the high season or around holidays it goes up to $75 and in the low season it goes down to $65 and sometimes we have other discounts or coupons in the slower times.
