We tried this place about 2 years ago and the food was great BUT the wait times were horrible and we were at the restaurant for over 2.5 hours which isn't ideal in most situations. I didn't complain or say anything and the food was good. So we tried it again tonight except we ordered take out. I was told 30-35 minutes so I went and picked our kids up food elsewhere and then went to pick up our order from here arriving exactly at 35 minutes after i placed the order, I was told it would be done in a few minutes multiple times from the hostesses (they were very friendly) I ended up waiting for just shy of 30 minutes for my food in the waiting area... meanwhile I had my kids food in the car getting cold. You can have the best product in the world but if your customer service isn't any good then eventually it will catch up to you. Our food was great again tonight but there is nothing I can't stand more than bad service and waiting 30 minutes for a to go order in the waiting room isn't acceptable at all because everyone's time is valuable. This could be a 5 star restaurant but the lack of service is hurting them. It took me almost 2 years to give you guys a second chance and I'm not sure I'll give you a third to be honest which is sad because if the service was good we would eat here a few times a month. There is a difference between good service and being friendly. I don't fault the hostesses and they kept apologizing and I told the young lady when she gave me my food (and apologized again) that it wasn't her fault....but I wasn't happy but then again I wasn't going to take it out on her either.

This experience was just as awesome as the first. We went back tonight and asked some friends to come along that grew up in New Orleans. They said it didn't disappoint at all and it was like going home. Cheers to the Chef and the restaurant staff. Thank you!!! Update: my husband and I had our anniversary dinner last night and I have to say it was another home run. The food was superb. I want to give a big thank you to our server Amanda, (i hope that's correct) she was very personable and pleasant. I also want to say THANK YOU to Cheryl. You are a jewel and the best at what you do. Thank you for the wine, it was a great choice. If you haven't dined ai Private Property, I suggest you do. The weekends are hard to get reservations so book in advance.
