My daughter was new to the area. I received a phone call that her car wouldn't move. With many years of mechanical experience, I was skeptical to which shop wouldn't take advantage of a young woman. I called Cottman Transmission and spoke with the person that answered the phone. They were very professional and informative. I felt very comfortable.I Had the car towed there over the weekend. Spoke with them again on Monday. I was told they will get to my car in a day or two. Totally acceptable being they had cars with appointments. I received a phone call within that time frame and was explained to the finest detail what their process would be. I was given a dollar estimate range which they really don't know until they open the transmission. I received a phone call within that week explaining to me in every detail what they needed in order to rebuild my transmission. I was pleasantly surprised that the estimate came in at the lower range. I knew at this point, not only was I dealing with an EFFICIENT SHOP, but also an extremely HONEST one. My Interactions with Taylor and the owner Jody. were beyond 5 stars. IF YOU'RE NEW TO THE AREA OR LOOKING FOR A NEW REPAIR SHOP, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND COTTMAN TRANSMISSION OF DURHAM. Your vehicle will be repaired 100% in a timely fashion with an honest and very fair price. In todays times, its very difficult to find people of such high caliber running a business like this. Chris Johnson was very informative. Friday morning took the time to explain the likely cause of my transmission problem. I'm from Wisconsin and have to drive home today/Saturday!
