Visited for our daughters birthday. It was our first visit. Seated almost immediately, but with the layout of the tables and grills we had to wait for one chef to completely finish with his group before our could come out so it took a little while. The food was actually pretty good, but for the price and expectations it let us down. Our chef barely spoke, did zero tricks, and was absolutely not entertaining. Looking around the restaurant, other chefs put on a pretty decent show. I know that certain ones add their own flare, but ours didn’t even have a spark.

The book at the table next to us was intoxicated and was actually drinking a beer while cooking for the customers. Everything was dirty, carpet, chair cushions walls and grill. Some of the hoods seemed to not work and the restaurant filled with the aerosolized coming oils and smoke. Surprisingly my vegetable dinner was good thanks to our chef. Otherwise, this would be a one star review. I'm embarrassed to say I should have left without eating.

Yes, the food is delicious, the experience is entertaining, and the price is reasonable enough not to have to wait for an anniversary to enjoy it.
Sounds like a bill mistake. Or U probably got b someone's else's ticket. I'd go ask the lady manager she real nice . We been going there for years.
No reservation needed they are always packed go around 8pm on weekends if possible. Or first thing at 4:30

They don't do take outs, they are a Japanese restaurant where the chef Cooks in front of you.

No they don't have a kids menu. I have been going to Kanpais for years. My family and friends love it. For the smaller kids we share and theres always more food than you can eat. The kids get ice cream afterward. Love this place. They have never said that we couldnt share.
