Hey Jeffey, The decision to upgrade to a new heating and cooling system isn’t often a cut and dry case. In general, if your system has reached 10+ years of age and the repairs are looking to be more than 30% of the cost of a new system, we recommend considering an upgrade. Hi Chris! Routine maintenance can mean the difference between prolonging the life of your HVAC system and replacing it years earlier than planned. At a minimum, filters should be changed every 3 months (or less if you have pets or other allergens in your home), and a professional maintenance check should be done prior to the start of each season in order to ensure everything is in working order.
