My original post was two years ago....fastforward to today (literally today). I returned looking for tile for another project, saw a store associate (Veronica), addressing the shelves. I approached her and asked if she could help me with an item I was interested in. I walked toward the item, Veronica continued to straighten the shelves. I waited for her for about 1 minute. When she never came I assumed she forgot I needed help I asked her if she could help me. She responded (all the while straightening the shelf and not providing eye contact) "what do you need?" I pointed to the area and walked over to it (all of about 20-25 steps). She continued working. After 30 seconds or so, I said again, "excuses me can you help me?" And she again responded with actually coming to assist, "what do you need?" Needless to say, I left, very upset and disappointed. I'll head to HD, Lowes or HO going forward. I started doing small remodeling at home during this Covid-19 "lockdown" period...good and bad timing - the good - a captive audience - myself, the bad - your store was not completely open...I'm a visual person, so I need to actually see and touch an item to make my decisions. I'm so glad you're open now. I came in this week feeling like a kid in a candy store. Don helped me. He was so helpful and patient. I'm sure I was all over the place with my thoughts and ideas, but he hung in there with me, gave me great advice and I ended up with a beautiful flooring that I and my family members love. Thanks Don for you professionalism and great customer service. I will be back to see you soon.

Floors & Decor has a great selection and shopping experience, but their area of opportunity is in their classes service. I went for a class and it was a huge waste of time. They have scheduled times but no one was prepared to conduct a class. The associate basically walked me around the store telling me what I needed. I would have liked to have had a hands-on experience and learned about the different types of techniques, applications, and products. Until they offer that, my advise to you is use Youtube. Find a Tuber that is giving good instruction and showing their work. You can rewind it a million times. AND DONT BE AFRAID TO DO IT. I was scared for weeks. Finally got started and loved my finished work. I used 4 different stores to accomplish what I saw on YouTube, but found that F&D had the best prices and selections. Good luck!
When I was there in June the associate working in flooring was very knowledgeable & extremely helpful. I recommend visiting the store in person & asking for assistance.
