Such a nice place for a picknic. Grounds so well maintained. So happy the mill still operates.

I am aware that the Old Grist Mill itself is a free place to go and explore the amazing history. The Wayside Inn, I also believe is free to walk the grounds, however to enjot their food, you must pay 😉 and it is is very good! Not sure if there are specials, but I do have to say they accommodate to food allergies. There is a cute little farm stand with flowers and other trinkets near the parking lot. Hope this helps!

Is the Wayside Grist Mill still grinding their own cornmeal? I have bought bags if cornmeal for many years, but the last two bags of cornmeal were ground much finer and did not resemble the coarse cornmeal that I have always purchased there.

They are currently closed for the season but yes they do still grind cornmeal.

Where's the best place to see fall colours near this area?

The sign does say it is still fully functional and that they do produce flour there. However the other day when I was there the wheel unfortunately was not in operation.
