City Winery is a great example of not to judge a book by its cover. My wife an I both celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. We ordered a flight of wine but was never given a history of the wine nor what we were drinking. For a place that calls themselves a “winery” this place did nothing but teach me on what not to do if I opened a winery myself. The staff did not have any knowledge on the grapes and age of the wine. We ordered the cheese platter and once again, no one knew what cheeses we were served nor were we offered recommendations as to what cheese would pair well with our flight. We originally going to order the Porterhouse steak - to only be told it’s been taken off the menu. We settled for the only other steak on the menu. The presentation was poor as well as the steak. The winner in our dining experience was the chimichurri sauce, other than that it was an absolute disappointment. We would have expressed our dissatisfaction, but there was nowhere to be found. Thus we settled with what we received and went on our way. 1 - 10 scale Ambiance - 5 Staff Knowledge - 4 Wine(s) - 4 Food - 5

Cons: We arrived an hour early for an 8pm comedy show and ordered drinks right away. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive despite there only being a few other tables. My husband's drink was served with moldy blackberries, so we sent it back. My food only arrived after my husband had finished his. We both agreed the food was bad. I'd give the food a one star rating, but I don't think that's fair for entertainment which was fun. Pros: The comedy show was fun and the wine was good.

I had the pleasure of seeing the docksiders last night at the city winery music venue; my server Caitlin was extremely attentive and we could tell she had a lot of other people to take care of but she always made it a point to check in on us! Grateful for such an awesome experience, along with great service in a high pace environment. We will definitely be back soon for the delicious spicy margaritas and duck tacos!

The Incognito show has been rescheduled to April 13th. Unfortunately, I have heard multi source, negative stories about BCW. Sub par service, food and unacceptable seating arrangements that management has promised to "address" without resolve. It is now a huge problem to hire qualified help, since Boston has added so many venues recently, driving the trend to higher pay scales for help. OUCH! However, without quick resolution, consumers will most likely not attend or revisit. The fact that the city held them up is no longer an excuse for the shortcomings their customer base is experiencing now. From a consumer standpoint, it seems the current management team is either underqualified or set up to fail or both. In this hot mess, it appears it may unfortunately take just a little more investment now, in order to survive any longevity going forward. The process for cancellations and rescheduling was poor and lack of anyone answering a phone call at the time makes consumers uncomfortable.
Call to verify, but you should be able to purchase in your name and change by calling? They have a will call list and do not issue physical tix?
Yes. The restaurant and bar are separate from the entertainment venue.
Unfortunately, yes it is. Please contact our box office for a refund or credit.
I think you can. I saw a teenager there
The show is most likely cancelled and you can contact the city winery box office for a refund. They are giving refunds right now due to the outbreak. (They usually don't give refunds)
There are several garages near by and street parking, which is hard to find.
Yes they do have menu for beer.. also they have outside the concert area bar as well.
It depends. If it's standing room only they do not offer food. If it's a seated show then they do offer a limited menu. It's best to call ahead when you plan to go so you and find out what's up.
It looks like tickets are available for sale on 4/7 and sold out on 4/8
No formal dress code but generally folks are in smart casual. Typical Boston. Women dressed waaaay better than the guys.
You can buy up to limit. Often 4 per person
I second what Ric & Jacin wrote. If you have a choice of dates to choose from to see an act, check the T.D. schedule. I drove around the block at 8 pm and parked right behind the venue.
Yes, there is seating. Very close though, not much room at all. I agree with others to sit toward the back or along the wall up front for more Interaction.
They done use paper tickets for events, but you can purchase "tickets" if you are there for other events.
No, but there is street and other parking lots in the area to utilize.
This is very close to Boston's TD Garden (basketball, hockey & concerts), but not near either major art museum. You could take the green line T to the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA), ~3miles, or take a long walk to the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), 1.5 miles.
Take the train or goon a non bruins celtic s night and get a meter
I was not aware that this venue had even opened. Any show I have purchased tickets for has been postponed with very little information.
Driver’s License of the Card Holder/Purchaser will get you the tickets at the venue. Best wishes
