Dr. Cook and the entire staff were great. Took plenty of time to explain every aspect of the exam with me, and recommended solutions that would best suit me.

This review is much about pricing over actual care. The care I received was very good and I had no problems with. I enjoyed my visit to visionary eyecare. I do not have eye care in my insurance policy so I had to pay out of pocket. The cost for the exam was $170 and if I remember correctly about $172 after taxes. It's about $20 more expensive than any typical place around place(vision care($150), warby parker($150). Vision optical($100)) I ended up coming here after my uncle spent about 20 or 30 minutes raving about the care he's had here compaired to other places. Got my first eye exam in about a decade here. I did not wait at all. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment and they started the process right there. They have 4 machines they take pictures of your eyes with so they do not need to dilate your eyes. It's a fairly fast process and easy. The last one I hated made me incredibly nervous as I'm very squeamish about eyes. I've seen a lot of things but I have never been able to get over things going in the eye or touching the eye. This last picture machine blows a small amount of air in your eye and takes a picture. They take 4 and I did not feel 3 of them but I moved a bit on the last one and it stung for about 2 seconds and no pain after. The eye exam went fairly quick as well as Dr. Jennifer Brady knew what she was doing and knew early what my eyes were. We finished up wrote me my first prescription for my eyes ever. Here is where they get 3 stars instead of 4. They have a very good selection and wide selection of glasses. However. The cheapest pair I found had the frames at $120 and then add single lenses (non progressive) was another $380. Or I could get plastic lenses for $280. So the cheap glasses were $400-$500. Glasses being very new for me I hated all of them but I found one I actually somewhat liked and then boom. $170 just for the frame. $450-$550 total. Now I will say they all come with a 2 year warranty(do not replace if lost or dog destroys them) which is nice. However you can go to Warby Parker and get a good looking pair of transition glasses for $198 after taxes(6 month warranty. Did not mention dog eating them). My friend recommended them to me. Walmart also has a decent selection of glasses they cost around $150 for non glare non scratch/scratch resistant(6 month repair warranty unless dog eats them) Some good online choices as well but I did not trust any pair of glasses I can't try on. Now to add on price. I got a pair from Warby Parker and they are scheduled to arrive by the 30th 1 week after I ordered them(8 days actually). If I had bought them from here I was told it's typically an 3 week turn around. I'm taking a guess that it's because the frames they have a more specialized. Overall the care was great and I like the place, but annoyed me with the pricing of their glasses.

The office is really nice and clean. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They have a cute English Bulldog there and of course my daughter loved the treasure chest:) Overall, great first experience.

Dr. Brady and her staff are wonderful. I have Sjogren’s and have had cataract surgeries on both eyes. I had another provider try to fit me with contacts and glasses and I spent over $1,000 even with vision insurance, only to determine that I couldn’t see well at all with the prescriptions from the other provider. I was even initially told that I probably could not wear contacts due to my Sjogren’s. Thankfully, my ophthalmologist recommended Dr. Brady as someone who can handle challenging contact lens fittings. Not only was Dr. Brady able to fit me with contacts and glasses that worked perfectly for my situation, but the compassion and excellent customer service from her and the entire team was truly amazing. The environment of the office is fun yet professional and the entire staff cares about providing excellent service, something that is not commonly found in most health care professional offices these days. I do not have vision insurance (by choice) but the cost of the eye exams is very reasonable, especially given the sophisticated equipment used for an ophthalmologic evaluation. I highly recommend Visionary Eye Care. In addition to the great care, they also have a beautiful new office and an office bulldog that will put a smile on your face.
