I am very grateful for Attorney Jonathan Molleur. He’s the best attorney you can find for Tenant/Landlord issues. Very kind, professional and understanding. Always wanting whats best for his clients. He helped us get through what felt was a never ending nightmare with our landlord. We are forever grateful. His staff at the office are very kind as well. I will recommend Advocates Legal Group, LLP to anyone having issues with their landlord. Attorney Molleur is the best at what he does.

I would like to thank attorney Ryan Scambio for his excellent work. My husband and I recently bought a multi Family house, but we wouldn't have imagined the problems we would have with tenants. We had an excellent recommendations through a friend and broker. Ryan exceeded all our expectations, dedicated himself to our case and was available to us anytime, even on weekends! Ryan was extremely helpful, professional and efficient, we highly recommend him to all our friends and anyone who needs a good lawyer.

Advocates Legal Group prides itself on providing cost effective legal representation to clients in need. A “flat fee” is an agreement where the client pays a monthly or onetime flat rate regardless of the time a law firm puts into the legal matter. This is a beneficial and cost-effective alternative, especially given the fact that Advocates Legal Group has a team of attorneys and paralegals will be spending a substantial amount of time on the client’s case.

The Police would like to talk to me about incident I was involved in. Should I speak with them?

Not without consulting with a Lawyer first. The police are trained to make you feel at ease and eliciting from you the statement that they want. The much familiar saying “anything you say can and will be used against you” is all to true. Even if a charge does result from a potential investigation the benefit of seeking legal advice from an experienced criminal Attorney from the beginning is crucial. It is better to do things right from the beginning rather than obtaining counsel later to clean up your mess as a result of your self-incriminating statements made to the police.

I am a tenant getting evicted from my apartment, I do not have thousands of dollars to pay for legal representation. What do I do?

Advocates Legal Group prides itself on providing cost effective legal representation to qualified tenants who are facing an eviction. In Massachusetts there are numerous “fee shifting” statutes where the fees are unilaterally shifted to the opposing party requiring them to pay the plaintiff’s attorney’s fees and cost. These provisions are designed are to attract attorneys to cases which they would otherwise not be compensated for. Depending on the circumstances Advocates Legal Group may take on your matter for little to no fee.

Why do I need a lawyer if I am being evicted?

Advocates Legal Group, LLP. | Sep 12, 2021

In Massachusetts there are several statutorily defined formalities which a landlord is required to follow in order to successfully evict a tenant. The penalties for even a seemingly innocent violation can result in a complete dismissal of the eviction action. As a consequence, there are many defenses available to tenants in Massachusetts when they are facing an eviction. The best way to prepare for an eviction is to consult with an experience landlord/tenant attorney who is well-versed in the laws within the Commonwealth. A qualified landlord tenant lawyer can address your particular needs, explain the laws and protect your rights.
