This transfer station is very convenient for Stonington residents and provides an array of services which include dropping off brush, leaves, plastics, yellow garbage bags and such. In the spring you can pick up compost as well for free. They also have a reuse shed which you can drop off your unwanted items and pick up some items you might need. People are very friendly and helpful that work here.

Yea he is correct you will have to pay a weight fee
I believe if you're a resident of the Stonington area you should be able to drop off rubbish like that for free if it's anything like metal or scrap wood they charge by the ton
