Finally we get a piece of North Beach right in the Peninsula! You get the same quality of pizza with that familiar taste without having to drive and brave all that is SF to get a whole pie! I find the pepperoni tastes better (it's got more spice) in San Mateo than in SF. The clam and garlic has the same familiar taste and feel as well.

Some pizza is just good because it's pizza, but THIS PIZZA is just plain good, PERIOD. I shared a pepperoni pizza with my wife and we agreed that it was the best pizza we had in a very long time. Next time I'm getting twice as much because it was just that good. They do take out only, it seems, so be sure to wrap up your pizza box so it's nice and warm by the time you get home!

It's an honor to leave a rating here. Not only is this more affordable than any other pizza place around but it's better. They have a rectangular shaped Pizza with total and tax comes out to about $25.50. It's damn good with a really zesty but sweet tomato sauce almost like a marinara. With a nice deep pan style crust. I'm not talking about crust around the edges but on the bottom. I went to the location in San Mateo but there's another one somewhere in San Francisco's North Beach area. I want to help this place to sales and I have no money to gain at all. One of my old friends told me about this a while back and I recently made it in I will definitely go back. Golden Boy you really have something going here!

Updated review 1/12/2022: What I love about Golden Boy Pizza is their oily focaccia bread dough. It magically soaks up all the alcohol in your system after a night out drinking. Their pizzas are seasoned with Italian herbs sprinkled on top. Tonight I got what everyone else got, 1/2 sheet of combo, half clam garlic $31. Both pizzas are made with their red tomato sauce. The combo is what usually runs out first if you are in line at their North Beach location. This happened to me on many occasions hoping the people in front of me don't order the combo. The clam garlic has that nice raw garlic burn and is not recommended if you are on a date. This location is cool because you call ahead and the pizza is ready in about 15 mins, never running out of anything. Great job staff at Golden Boy Pizza! Original review: There's nothing I can say about Golden Boy Pizza that hasn't been said before. Their pizzas are awesome and that is beyond contestation. I had their garlic clam and combo tonight. $58 for two 1/2 sheets without tip.
