My experience with Stony Brook Commons has been very positive. I've lived here for two years It's been a wonderful experience.Leasing and maintenance staff has always been great.The area is good and quiet.Stony Brook Commons done great job of safeguarding tenants during COVID 19 pandemic.

Management doesn’t communicate at all. Received an eviction notice without a (legally required) notice to quit or (also legally required) renters assistance information, WHILE the renters assistance application that I have in is waiting on a form from the property management team. LOL. Security is a joke. The units are super old aside from new appliances - some of the windows don’t even have screens. Walls are too thin to be charging market prices for rent. Parking is ridiculous - Enjoy a 5-10 minute walk back to your apartment if you get home after 8. Supposed to be a dog free and smoke free community (which i selected this community specifically for because of my asthma …) yet my neighbors will stand around the doors smoking cigarettes and there are several dogs in my building alone, never mind the rest of the complex.

This place is a scam!! I moved out 1.5 months before my lease ended and there is a thing called "leasing determination" that suppose to return me half month of rent money if I filed it early. However, Kerrick from the leasing office purposely hided this fact from me, making me not aware of a fact that I have every right to know. Later on, i could not even talk to this person. He just hided behind his manager without even an apology or an explaination.

I've had a very positive experience overall so far living here at Stony Brook Commons. I've lived here for 2 years and I'm pleased. The staff is very friendly, professional, responsive. Any time I've had any questions or requests, they've helped me quickly and effectively. The property is great, the common spaces and amenities are well maintained, and the services are also great.
