Just tried to call about a tool rental. 1st call the automated system sent me to the plumbing department even though I stated tool rental. The plumbing department told me I needed tool rental and said goodby and they hung up. How about a cold transfer at the very least? 2nd call I dialed zero and an operator connected me to the tool rental department. It rang 3 times and I heard the phone being picked up and was hung up on. 3rd call I again dialed zero, got the operator and was sent to a hold cycle. Said they may be busy and would page them. It rang back to a different operator who abruptly told me they were “slammed” and to call back later. Guess I’ll call someone who specifically rents equipment and is probably trained in phone etiquette and customer service. Probably has all their equipment painted green or has a name reminiscent of a historic person like Ben Franklin.
