Great hike! Intermediate difficulty. 1.9 miles to buzzards rock, or about 6 miles round trip. The ascent is moderate and footing is a little rocky. 1 small creek for the pups to stop and take a drink. My favorite part is that there weren't many people there.

Good wooded hike! Well marked to stay on the right trail. We saw a creek along the way. It’s pretty rocky and you even climb some rock steps. If you take the blue trail, it takes you 2 miles up the mountain to Buzzards Rock. It’s all uphill to the overlook, but not too steep. I’d say this hike is moderately challenging.

I took the blue trail and it was moderate, it was just about 2 miles to the top. Very peaceful, not too many people.

Sweet hike! Moderate intensity with a great lookout at the top. There are a lot of really neat stone staircases along the way and the trails are pretty well marked. There is also a bench at the lookout point so you know when you're at the top. And just as a heads up, you travel through a subdivision to get to the trailhead.

I didn't see any bike trails and as the others said the trail is rockey some you have to step up a foot or more to get on or over. And it gets tight on some of the hiking trails only 2-3 feet between trees
Varies by time of year, currently open until 9 PM...opens either 6 or 7. Was there the other day juat after 7 but don't recall the posted opening hour.
There are several trails you can choose from...they differ in difficulty levels...depends on how fit you are and how much time you want to spend enjoying the views...I have spent 1 to 3.5 hours..
Virginias Urban acrchery season is open to private land owners with set rules and regulations. As stated above summit ridge and other homes off the Ruritans fall under these regulations. Read mountain has too many Deer and now Nuisance Bear have been spotted. fox, coyote, turkeys, rattle snakes, (few) fox squirrels, are also on the mountain so the curious should stick to the trails.
