Any idea how long it takes from making a reservation online to actually being able to attend? I wasn't aware that buying a membership would mean I would have to ask first and wait. Makes things a lot harder for parents who work.

You could probably make a reservation in their parking lot and then walk in. You get the admission tickets immediately. The key would be whether they are already booked for the day or not. I often make reservations a few days out just in case. (Like I'll book for Sunday on a Tuesday if the weather looks like it's going to be nice)
