Don't bother consigning. You can get a better price selling your furniture yourself or with another shop. Posh Plum will sell your items for whatever someone offers without your permission and tell you they tried to reach you by phone to get your approval but you weren't available. When you object, they make excuses like the furniture was old anyway. The furniture in question was a Tommy Bahama dining set with eight chairs in great condition and they sold it for a little more than the cost of one chair. And, of course, my phone log showed no missed calls from them. I could have gotten more on Craigslist -- beware!
