Food was excellent. Traditional pot roast was gork tender with a rich gravy. Potatoes lacked that something extra. Drinks were pricey.

Apparently under new ownership this gem of Vermont is still as great as it's always been. They kept the same fantastic staff and the menu is almost exactly the same. My family has been coming here for over ten years and it's wonderful.

Great dining experience in Manchester! Delicious food, historic atmosphere, wonder waitress and staff that was accommodating and attentive to us. We got the roasted turkey, it was very generous portions, and just like Thanksgiving! We also got the pot roast and it was tender and smothered in a rich gravy perfectly paired with mash potatoes. All meals came with cranberry fritters with maple butter (so good), fresh wheat rolls and salad. The kids menu hit the spot for our little ones - included steak tips and mash and buttered noodles. We were so stuffed there was not room for dessert, next time!
