I was hoping to make West 83rd home and I have met great people here, no doubt. Redeemer is good for the ears but has left my soul restless. I often leave here wanting more, and yesterday I left thirsty, I can’t ignore this anymore. This church’s focus is on people questioning Christianity so they come off as neither hot or cold. They’re playing it safe. You want to know how to bring people back to church, turn up the fire and add salt.

Spot on. Welcoming! Interesting music - classical instruments (9:30 and 11:30 are classical, 5pm is jazz). Excellent, old, theologically rich hymns were sung. Sermon was on Acts 2:40-47, it was decent but not really expository. It was a communion service, and this was done properly. I think the parts of the service where the minister says something and the congregation says something back are very worthwhile. There is no PowerPoint, you simply use the handout provided. Tim Keller and his wife were there, and it was great to meet them. Great stuff. Praise God for this excellent Church in NYC.

Redeemer is a great place to be. Anyone can come check it out. Even if you're not religious or a Christian, you want to learn what it's like. If you need someone to talk with, get advice about something.. Or you're curious about Christianity or just want someone to talk to, come here. Everyone is wonderful.
