The Sunderland Cottages were a perfect spot to spend a week in the fall on an incredibly beautiful Adirondack lake. Our hosts, the Sunderlands were wonderful and took great care of us. We'll be back.

We keep coming back because the place is Paradise and out hosts are kind and caring...there are Square dances every Wednesday in the summer nearby in Schroon lake...WE ...My family and my children and Grand Children have been staying for a week at Sunderland for a few years and we look forward to going back as we are leaving...Great Fun...Wonderful People...you can't go wrong !...SAdly i must ammend my feeling about Sunderland...We had been going there for MANY MANY years...My Wife..3 kids...Friends...we got close to the ladies that run the Cottages and all associated...LOOKED FORWARD to the stay..counting the days to see Susan + her family..all was well EVERY year...SUDDENLY...Summer before last we had my whole family with our kids and our Grand children(as we did EVERY Year...Wives/Husbands ! We had THREE Cottages...Had a GRAND time...weeks later i get a notice from the Owner..Sussan Sunderland..That she was not giving part of our deposit back...She took $20 off of my deposit for a CLEANING CHARGE... i swear on my kids that we left the place in BETTER condition then when we arrived and they held back $20...a small amount of money but a Smack in the face...we left the place in BETTER shape than when we arrived ! I believe that the "cleaning ladiee's" falsley said that we left it in a mess..we left it in BETTER shape than we found it ..We became FRIENDS...The Fact that they charged us ruined our relationship..They basiclly called us..LIARS ! I resent that THEY took the cleaning woman's word over our's...I belive that the Cleaning woman said that exrat work was needed was part of the Cleaner getting paid EXTRA to clean our place..we left it in BETTER shape that when we arrived...Sorry to post this NEGATIVE post but the TRUTH must be known...They stole $20 from us and such a small amount of money ...worth ending a decades long friendship..Pitiful...Sad...Shame on Sunderland Cottages ! BEWARE !
