We bought coupon on Groupon, booked the date and time for the lesson, and one of the first things mentioned was that we intend on using groupon - and this is why we've been asked to come on Thursday (they dont do discounted classes on the weekend) but when we came there we've been told that they do not accept it anymore and if we want to take a lesson we have to pay full price (double). If they want to do advertising on Groupon and treat customers in this way I don't think it will do them any good.

Great barn with a real "family" vibe. Excellent lesson program for riders of all ages and abilities.

I hope this helps the farm improve on a few aspects. I bought a Groupon for my daughter with the full intention (if it was a good fit,) of starting her lessons with Winter Glen. I do respect and realize people's busy schedules but I was surprised to find that we were double-booked and I didn't mind that our lesson ran later than scheduled, but my daughter only received a 15 min. lesson (for a 30 min. Groupon.) We waited over 20 min. to start her lesson, but because there was another booking at the same time, she only received 15 min. Additionally, when we arrived, we weren't sure where to go, and the instructor was with another lesson so we waited in the parking lot. While we were in the parking lot, one of the employees (who had been working with farm equipment when we arrived,) was sitting in her car on a break with the door open, smoking, and swearing on the phone. I had two young girls with me and I was horrified. She was engaged in a very personal and inappropriate conversation. To summarize, I felt we were rushed through our experience, not welcomed, and subject to smoking and rough language. I write this review not to give the business a "bad rap" but in hopes that the business will work toward making guests feel like they belong. Since that time, (within 3 weeks of our visit there last spring,) we have found a trainer and ranch that is amazing, and we have been going bi-weekly to weekly for 6 months now. When a customer comes in with a Groupon, they should be treated as if they are a lifetime prospect. This coming spring, our younger daughter will start with lessons with our current trainer. Our intention was to find the right spot for my daughter and we did, - first impressions do matter. Unfortunately, first impressions go both ways, and businesses need to realize that while they are the professionals and they are offering the services, customers do have choices and alternatives. Best.

I give four stars only because boarding is never perfect, but I had a good experience here overall. Very knowledgeable horse people and very good riding instructors. The boarders pretty much keep an eye out for all horses. Nobody hesitates to call an owner if something seems off with your horse. Both the vet and the farrier are there just about every week. So depending on the issue, there is immediate attention without an individual vet call bill. And it's a really nice atmosphere. Nicest horse people I've met since i moved to the area. My best boarding experience by far. I only left because i bought a house and moved my horses home.
