I would have given more stars, but for the fact putting in here to try and do anything with the Harris chain of lakes in a slower or less powerful boat is a problem. You're so far from Haynes Creek (access to Lake Eustis) that you spend most of your time just traversing back and forth over vast bodies of water. If all you're interested in is fishing in Lake Griffin, this will work perfectly as the boat ramp and dock are great, otherwise find another put in spot.

Beautiful, well maintained state park.

I wish they would call this park. Live oak Park. So beautiful. The campground was very pretty and the rangers were very friendly. They have fire wood but no ice on site.

Perfect place for oak tree lovers! A few things to know before camping here: -Site #39 is very small and I'm not sure how you fit an RV in it -theres no place to swim in the Lake or Dead River -No ice on site, but there's multiple places to get ice within 5 minutes All in all, beautiful place to hike and kayak. Shout-out to the nice ranger who rides around in the golf cart, she's super friendly, funny and helpful

Yes, nice shaded area for fishing or just walking.
Yeah they do :) I seen people on mountain bikes.
Hi Thomas! The total with tax is $19.98. If you’re a full time Florida resident and a senior it’s $9.99. Also, if you are 100% disabled (and can show proof of that) it’s also $9.99. Handicap placards do not constitute proof of 100% disability.
Park stays open unless a hurricane or flooding is happening
Wasn't busy during the week when we were there. Having a boat makes this place much more interesting. We explored Lake Griffin which is huge.
No. This trail has boards on the ground and sometimes under water. I would not recommend a wheelchair on the red trai. But other trails are wheelchair friendly.
Unfortunately not , if you're looking for something like that , check west orange trail
I believe it's $5 or $8 bucks a carload
You should be able to..
I would say roughly around 5 miles my biking and the hiking trails wanted like a boardwalk through this month which was pretty cool that's a beautiful scenery it's like a mile and a quarter one way and the other one I think was up about a mile and a half one way but they're both beautiful hiking trails so nice park
You'd probably have to reserve a camp site, and then you would only get the tractor in. I would call in advance just to verify.
I don't think they have cabins, just tent and R.V spots. No you won't get locked out just punch in the code.
Tandem kayaks and canoes are $12 per hour single kayaks are $10 per hour with a 2 hour minimum
$40 for 2 hr minimum and $18 each additional hour for a 2 person canoe.
I live , 5 minutes away...I'll watch your animals...
$5. And yes, u can take a dog.
Yes. It is a state park and as such adheres to the ADA guidelines. They also allow other dogs as long as they are well behaved and on a leash. But be aware there are gators, so you don't want to get too close to the water with your dog, especially if it is a smaller one.
Yes there is
Not sure. Call the rangers office.
You can get information at the gate house and most of the trailheads have a map of the trail
I doubt they would even have 7000 people in there there isnt even a 10th of that in parking and there is no band shell or anything like that there. Lake Louisa State Park may be close to you and it's a very large park just not sure if they can host bands and things there but its has several lakes and a beach on a lake for swimming. Worth a shot.
The total per night per site is $19.98 per night including tax. The campground is full until Monday night though.
No
There is a boat ramp at rhe park. Several people were canoeing and kayaking. There ia also a pavilion and several picnic tables.
Sorry no but the nature walk is great as long as the climate is right. Enjoy
You can stay 2 weeks at a time. And come back a few days later if they have an opening.
No elephants, sorry. $5 Park entry. Additional fees for boat rental and camping
Yes I believe all sites have electricity. To confirm go to the reservation page, if a site has electricity it will show a lightning bolt.
Hi Rena! As others have stated, all sites have water. Some have sewer as well. Call the park to get a list of which ones have it! Dump station is available as well.
Yes we have a 38 ft RV and we enjoyed it there in our RV
The other guides are correct. Florida State parks limit stays to 2 weeks.
Site 20
$5 per car or $4 for single person
They have a campground on site with nightly n weekly rates
