Waffle House has a contender with this location. They are open pretty late and serve with consistency and courtesy.

I don't believe they serve custard it's ice cream and they have tons of different flavors available. They have vanilla or chocolate as a base but you can add things like strawberries, Oreos chocolate chips, peach or pineapple.
