My husband and I just renewed our lease for a second year, and have found this overall a great place to live. The renovated classrooms provide large windows, high ceilings, and spacious apartments. The three apartments we toured were all quite different from each other. The walls are thick, so we rarely hear our neighbors. Areas like the community room and courtyard are pleasant gathering spaces where events like trivia night, barbecue picnics, and free holiday gift wrap stations bring the community together. The only downsides have been that some people don't pick up after their dogs and some of the building doors don't work properly. However, there was a recent initiative to put up signs and enforce dog waste rules more strictly, which is helping, and there is a plan to replace building doors with a modern fob system in the near future. Management and maintenance have always been prompt, professional, and effective in our experience.

Been here 4 years now. The front door has been broken for over a year with no plans on fixing. When I moved in I was told each apartment had a water meter per Rotterdam and charge for usage. But now we have to pay $40.00 a monthly for water. $480 a year for water? Greedy!!!! Terrible management.

I have lived here for one year with my husband and our large dog. We have had a fantastic experience here. The interiors of these apartments are all recently renovated and beautiful. The building itself is a renovated school, so we have large windows with lots of natural light. The maintenance worker, Will, is so friendly and very efficient. The cleaning staff, Property Manger (Dave) and Office Manager (Sarah) are very warm and personable. They are very responsive to emails and other inquiries. They are always willing to answer questions or have a friendly conversation. The location is Schenectady, so take it what you will, there has been some disputes in the homes across the streets, but nothing caused or having to do with Draper Lofts. Our apartment is very quiet, which is a huge plus. Always plenty of parking. Multiple laundry/dryer rooms throughout the building which is also convenient. Super happy here and would recommend to anyone!
