I was booked at another major hotel chain in town for an upcoming wedding, but after booking I found out they are under construction and have very very reduced services. We are only staying for one night but decided to check out the other hotel with a room block for the wedding. I called less than 20 days before the event and spoke with Kalean who was incredibly helpful and friendly. She answered all of my questions and was able to get me into a room - all in all we were on the phone less than 10 minutes, I couldn't believe how quick and easy it was. I am the type to book everything online and absolutely dread having to call in but she made it so painless. I will update this review with details relevant to our actual stay once it happens but wanted to ensure Kalean got recognition for the top notch service she provided me with (and I couldn't find a way to contact the hotel directly on their website).

Overall a very good choice if you need a place to stay. Good value for the money. Would consider staying here again. Pros: 1. Excellent continental breakfast- one of the best i have had. 2. Excellent front desk service on check in. Cons: 1. The pool heater was broken so the water was too cold to swim in. This was a big disappointment as our biggest consideration in choosing a hotel was it having a pool. 2. The hot water in the shower was very erratic. The temperature would change from too hot to too cold without touching the knob. If I had the choice I would give a 4-1/2 star rating but since I can't I will just give 4 stars as it would be a disservice to the true 5 star hotels to give the Fairfield the same rating.

I was driving my daughter from Madison to Northfield to take her back to school when we hit a deer just outside Lacrosse at 9:00pm. Shaken up an unable to continue on our journey we made our way to LaCrosse and booked a room at the Fairfield. We explained our situation and they gave us their best rate, and even comped us a little food since we'd had such a rough night and an unplanned overnight stay. Their kindness and thoughtfulness was very much appreciated. It's not about the money, it was about strangers showing kindness at a time when we were shaken up and a little out of sorts. It was much appreciated. As an added bonus for us, the hotel was only one block from a car rental agency, making alternate plans for the following morning a breeze. The hotel also had a great array of complimentary breakfast items for us in the morning, making getting a healthy breakfast and back on the road simple and easy.

I travel a lot for work and stay at various Marriott chains and this is by far one of the nicest Fairfield inns I have stayed in. With it being newer that is to be expected and it didn't disappoint. I had a king suite which I didn't even was an option at Fairfield Inn. The added space was nice for being able to do work in my room. I definitely would prefer to stay here over the courtyard which is right on the river but more dated.
