Reading all these comments, i almost feel bad leaving this review but it has to be known. This is charity works like Robin Hood. Robbing one to feed another, except they take from another poor person. Today i delivered an order of local fancy cupcakes (totaling almost $250) to them. $0 tip. But I’m sure the people at the head of this organization get paid, i am also sure the person who placed the order could have left even a $1 which goes a long way…. It is a shame that companies like that are even allowed to exist, and the people working there allowed to walk freely. Not tipping is stealing from your delivery partners, i don’t care what it’s for, can’t afford to tip, drive to the other side of town and get it yourself. And this is valid for all of you out there who use the same excuse. There are always cheaper options that can leave you with enough change to leave at least a mediocre tip. Shame…

They don't take food donations, But they do prep schedule meals for those in need.

I was very skeptical about receiving food from any organization. But, as a caregiver of a person in hospice care, I must say the quality of the food from this organization is absolutely wonderful!! It comes frozen but doesn’t taste like a t. v. dinner. The salmon cake seems to be fresh salmon (not canned), the veggies taste fresh and seasoned nicely. Even the soups are very flavorful. We are receiving the soft low salt diabetic meals. Now, I do add a few special seasonings sometimes ( old bay, garlic, turmeric, ginger, cayenne pepper) to some foods to make it “special to me”. All in all the food tastes delicious and I would encourage those that are thinking about receiving meals from here to get a weeks worth and then decide. They must have chefs working with them!! As a recipient I give them 5 Stars for flavorful, nutritious, and easy to heat up meals.

There is a form that you get from their website take it to your doctor's office to be completed by them detailing your conditions then send it in to Food and Friends. And wait to hear back from them "Megan" is the point of contact there. Or feel free to contact her.
