Gaet place to get outside. City type nature Trails, saw turtles and alligators though. Nice shops for snacks and such. Water play area for kids and I know they tend to have alot of free events from time to time. Restrooms on site. Great place for a picnic or family day out.

Beautiful place to bike, jog or walk around the large pond There is a picnic setup and benches too. There is also a kids playground and at least one trail around the pond.

There sure is. You also have a Winn-Dixie further down on the right side of South Main and a Dollar general counter clockwise from it if yiu needed to pick up more things before going to the park.
Yes. There are covered areas with picnic tables and grills for cooking located right next to the playground.
Not sure how the visibility for movies would be but there are picnic pavilions that are solid concrete, and are I believe within ADA compliance.
The playground and Blue Grotto are open dawn to dusk.
Yes. The park is public and outdoor so it's open 7 days a week - dawn to 11:30p.m. Children's play area & conservation area: dawn to dusk
Grilles are available at first come first serve basis. I'm sure you could reserve one and a pavilion, but tgere is rarely a need. According to the rules you can bring your own, but why would you if they provide them. Loading up your own could be very messy.
They don't allow it
However there may be enough room , you would need to call the park
When we held a party there we just showed up early and set up..did not reserve a pavilion
They have a small restaurant/store. It's really cute and family oriented. You can buy things from a pizza to chips and snacks.
If it were me, I'd probably start by calling Boxcar; if it's not there, they may have more info about where to look. Good luck!
All there is is a splash pad. Nothing else wet and fun.
Probably near the stores. Not sure around the park.
Yes. You do.
Dogs are allowed but required to be leashed. There is another city park just north of Depot Park on S. Main Street that has a fenced areas where dogs may be off -leash. The dog park is at Lynch Park, between 4th and 5th Ave. along S. Main St.
There is no carousel. There is the Cade museum for creativity and invention adjacent to the Park.
Call them ,they do have other tables other than the pavilion
It was $70 for 4 hours the last i checked. You do not need to rent a pavilion, but it is recommended. It is first come first served if there is no reservations. Have a wonderful Birthday!
Probably not. The Gainesville fireworks are usually there. To me the best spot to see them is at Lake Alice. Seeing them reflect off the water is wonderful.
Yes
I suggest renting the space. It is about $70 for 4 hours. While it's first come, first serve, they definitely reserve the space for paying customers.
Not all forms of free speech are protected here. Bu as long as it isn't hate speech, profanity, ponographic, or otherwise disruptive you should be good. We do however, have a true free speech protected area at the Plaza of the Americas on UF campus.
The water will not come on unless the outdoor temp is above a certain level, I think 70°.
Right but they have events cancelled that tgey had scheduled. I only need comments from park staff for for sure answers.
Depending on the day of the week that you book it ranges from $40-$75, plus various fees per hour. They are booked up on almost all weekends for the next month or so.
