Hello Paul, the current rate as of October 2020 is $128.00 per ton for C&D material. So 500 pounds would be approximately $32.00. Rates are subject to change each fiscal year per MSB Assembly resolution.

Hello Jackie, yes refrigerators are accepted at the Central Landfill in Palmer. All doors and shelves must be removed prior to bringing it in for disposal. At the Central Landfill you will be charged a refrigerant evacuation fee ($30.00 as of 7/1/2018) plus the weight of the unit ($75.00/ton as of 7/1/2018). Steve is correct, the days to pick up paint from the Hazardous Waste Facility is Wednesday's and Saturday's from 10AM to 3PM. These hours and days are subject to change in the future, this is correct as of September 2018.
Hello Linda, yes, as of July 2, 2018, the Hazardous Waste Facility accepts up to five (5) 12-volt automobile batteries for free, per day, from Mat-Su Borough residents. Fees apply for additional 12-volt automobile batteries and all 24-volt automobile batteries. Prices are subject to change each fiscal year. To get to the Hazardous Waste Facility, drive down N. 49th State Street (towards the landfill), take a RIGHT at the stop sign and an immediate LEFT into the gated parking lot. Follow signs around building and look for crate that is labeled for batteries.

Mat-Su Borough residents can bring up to five (5) gallons of used motor oil to the Hazardous Waste Facility every day. If you have more than five (5) gallons, you can make multiple trips on different days, or you can bring all of it to the Hazardous Waste Facility on a Wednesday or Saturday between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM and pay $1.00 per gallon after the first five (5) gallons (this price is effective as of May 27, 2018 - prices are subject to change each fiscal year).

Yes, cash and most major credit cards are accepted as long as you have photo I.D. that matches the name on the card. Debit cards are run as credit cards and you must have matching photo I.D.
There is a big container next to where you dump oil at and you can put the empty containers there and there is also a spot for paint can's there. Its next to the office building. You take a left at the stop sign right before the dump then its the fist left and its on right right side of the building
