Beautiful state park. We camped overnight and rented kayaks in the morning. Definitely worth the trip!

Very clean and pretty campground. The bath houses were nice as well. The road to get to it is extremely curvy but fun to drive! (use caution of course) but if you're looking for a nice family outing, id recommend this place!

Love this State Park. We stay here every time we are in the area. Campground is nice. Spacious sites with fire pit and picnic table. Clean shower/bathrooms. Beautiful lake, great hiking trails. Nice playground for kids

It was so beautiful. The sun was shining on the water. My son and his best friend Jake and Autumn got married up there. It is a beautiful place for a wedding and reception!!! There couldn't have been a better place to get our two families together for this wedding.

By primative do you mean tent camping? Sure if you bring your own tent
Not sure why it would say unavailable. They have a page on Facebook
Yes
Union county has a 4H program in Maynardville, but the park it's self I don't believe so.
Yes, you can walk all the way around the entire cove crossing the spillway/dam and the ridge on dirt trail. Ghost House trail, Dark Hollow trail, Millhouse trail, Meditation Point are a few of the ones I know of. Approximately 4 miles.
Best I can say is call. We had booked a year early because of a wedding but they had vacancies when were there. Hope this helps.

They may be full. I was up there earlier this week & there were alot of campers already. And yes, they are always short handed, due to gvmnt budget cuts. Thanks obama!
No and it is 20 minutes from my house.
Not an employee, but please direct me to where it says they are open until 10pm? In fact, in the official brochure on the official site it clearly states that hours are from 8 to 430.
30-40 minutes from the spur about 15 minutes from Mc Donalds in Maynardville
Yes you can camp there the sites are made for RVs and stuff that you can camp there bathrooms are very dirty the first one as you come in as the cleanest one the other two you probably don't even want to shower it there are some sites that are right on the water they're completely awesome
