I dont know where alot of these bad reviews are coming from but in all my 47 years this campground is one of the top 5 i have found, and i have traveled thru every state in the us multiple times. Granted if you are one of those koa sheep/sheeple who pretend camp and want to be catered to i quess that Would explain the reviews. As for the owner he has been kind and helpful to us . we had a drive shaft drop on our ram cummins on our way to the camp ground and upon calling the owner john to let him know we may a day late not only did he hold us a place but he didnt charge us for the day that we did not arrive. This campground WILL BE ON OUR LIST FOR MANY RETURNS!!!

It was a place to sleep for weary travelers, but never again! Amp service stunk, train & road noise. If you can find someplace else, DO IT!!

My first time to Riverfront Campground and I had a excellent time. I look forward to making several return visits and really hope that John can hook me up with the site I had on this visit. Perfect for what I went to do, relax with friends and fish till whenever. If you like the outdoors, water and fishing , I recommend this place.

Best camping
Yes $1.50 a boat to launch and $1.50 a vehicle to park. Stop at the store at the top of the driveway
You can swim in the river, but there is no pool or any type of water other than the river itself
Not sure but they are good about answering their phones and returning calls. Owner is real easy going.
Check with locals who will know more about the area, it is a rest area for campers and hikers

Yes, the river is shallow (about knee deep) so you can float or walk. As for electric, it's available at a few of their sites for a fee, can check website for details.

There is pretty good fishing from the shore if you pick the right spot.
