The location of this McDonald’s is very strategic and accessible especially if you’re a student or staffer at the Univeristy of New Haven. I love to come here to just relax and enjoy the view. This McDonald’s is open 24/7 with a Drive-Thru service. There’s a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking for the differently able. Used to come here all the time when I worked up the street. After today, never ever again. Stopped by cause it was late, we hadn't eaten all day, and my wife was starving. Placed a mobile order. It was immediately charged to my debit card. Couldn't go in to pick up our food cause they keep closing the dining room an hour or more early now. Went through the drive through to pick our food up. Even though I could clearly show them the charge on my banking app they claimed the payment didn't go through and wouldn't make our food. Had to pay a second time at the window and hope I can get a refund through the app. Asked how to get the refund and was told "idunno, go on the app." Finally got our food after paying twice and it was ice cold and stale. It had been almost 45 minutes at that point and I didn't have it in me to try and get new food. Also got charged a bottle deposit on an order that didn't even have a drink. This location is an absolute joke. Take the extra ten minutes and go to the Sawmill Rd location. Don't ever go here. Would give zero stars if I could.

Used the app to get a 20 piece nugget for $5. While going through the drive-thru they added on another 20 piece at full price. I pointed out their mistake and the manager kept putting the blame on me. I went and showed them the original order for just 1 and she continued to deny their mistake and blame me. She then attempted to lie to me saying the deal was buy one get onenfor $5. The whole situation was extremely unprofessional and could have be resolved by allowing me to return the extra food for a refund.

Overpriced; franchise owner is greedy; your food is always going to be cold. Trust me I live nearby I have been eating here unfortunately for 20+ years. I’m not mad I just want to troll the owner. I hope the owner sees this and at least ensures they serve hot food for the price gouging they induce. Thanks
