Academy's been around forever. Still has good prices. $5.50 matinee. Regular prices are still way cheaper than other theaters

My brother and i opened this place in 1985, as an independent second run theater. I'm glad to see it's still serving the community. Some changes for the better, in the last 40 years but still original design and bones.

This theater is a flashback to the somewhat distant past. A time before the $20 movie tickets and $10 popcorn bags. No luxury here (not a bad thing) - just a simple, clean, welcoming movie experience that will not break the bank. You can never go wrong with $1.50 hot dogs They still have a single booth box office but you can also buy tickets online with RESERVERD seating!

Great place to see movies for a discounted price. Unfortunately, since I don't live in Pasadena, it is difficult to time one's arrival and park to make it to the movie in time. You get what you pay for so don't expect a nice upper class theater. It's been in business for a long time. Unfortunately, they used have better variety in their movie section years ago, and offered popular blockbusters in addition to foreign and independent films, so you could take a chance and see foreign films you were unfamiliar with. In those days, I would had rated it 5 stars. Support your local discount theaters, they are an endangered species! Go see movies there!!!

The parking is to the left of the street Catalina facing north and the cost is 3 dollars and it is usually packed so I suggest to park out on the street.

Yes just ask for it.

Easy......that information is on Regency's website!
Depending on the movie Plus you can google the movie any movie and it tells you how long it runs 😀
Tickets are $3.50. Matinees are $2.50 for all shows before 6PM. They also have Fashback movies on Thursdays which are older classic films that are $8.00.
I usually use Flixster for the movies you have.
I'm not sure. You can call their number and ask.
It's not full around 1:00 p.m.on Saturday and Sunday
Yes they reopen but, each movie has only three showtimes check the internet.
Yes
Don’t just go inside there’s a machine that accepts 4 quarters and it’s 3 dollars so you have to put in like 12 quarters so you don’t get in trouble
Not sure if the upstairs ones are, I think there's an elevator.
No I tried it myself and yes they sell out fast
I don't know. You would have to go back there to see if your raincoat is in the lost and found.
It wont be sold out. Just swing by early and grab the tickets
MoviePass isnt a accepting a lot of theatres anymore. Academy did gladly accept them. So, its just MoviePass fault.
You can try to bring some things not to big but hide it under a purse or back pack cover it with a sweater or t shirt
The theatre offers both complimentary Closed Caption and Headphones for the Hard of Hearing. Just ask a employee upon arrival if you’d like one of these options, all they need is a photo ID. in exchange
If u got access to internet it has it's own page look it up
I always check on the regency website or the app to see whats playing.
not aware of movies at this location being numbered. Was there a specific title you were looking for?

Hello Estrella I haven't been to the Regency in Pasadena as of lately but you couldn't of selected a better day of the week to attend because it just so happens that on Wednesdays you'll be able to purchase two tickets two popcorns and two soft drinks for $10 ! Nonetheless it appears that mellow yellow has the information you're seeking and Esther's recommendation to refer to their website is helpful Happy belated New Year and enjoy the movie!
