My second son was delivered august 15th of 2020. I came in after two weeks for pre labor, and my first son is only 17 months older. I told the two nurses that, but they didn’t seem to care. They said I can’t come in unless I’m 5 cm or more I was four. They said to walk around until my water broke or I started to bleed. I was literally in labor in the lobby. I noticed I started to bleed, they didn’t believe me. I was in the check in room for 30 mins before I started to feel the need to go to the bathroom. Then the woman saw how much blood I had lost. She got me in a birthing room very fast and put a hospital rob on me. The doctors didn’t believe I was as far along as I was either. They let me scream in pain for two hours. The only relief I had was from pushing. The doctor strolled in and said that he can’t do anything until I have my epidural. That happened about 30 mins later. I felt better but something didn’t feel right. The doctor came back and checked me, I was 10 cm. He said the o key reason I didn’t have the baby without him was because he was stuck behind the water sack. Thank God my baby was safe and I was too. Because no one was gonna listen to me. I think it’s fair to say I’m not going back there.

Excellent attention, with me and the baby... especially the baby's nurses... the only inconvenience I have is that I have not been able to activate the medicaid

Terrible! Last Tuesday we took my mother, who is a cancer patient, to the ER with severe pain, vomiting and severe reflux. She had a CT scan and the ER doctor sent her home with morphine as he found no obstruction. In fact he did a chest x-ray which was strange and then I saw that doctor wrote that she had shortness of breath, which no one said she had. There a cancer patient had extra radiation that she didn't need. Actually I remember a nurse asking me if she had asthma! That night I was able to talk to her oncologist who read the CT report and told me he was admitting her to the hospital because she had an obstruction, he wondered why they let her go. On Thursday she had x-rays with contrast which apparently did not help at all because no decision was made. More radiation. Then Friday, she was taken to the gastroenterologist's area for an endoscopy but then the doctor decided not to do it, why? We’re not even understand why! But now it’s scheduled for Monday. Today they were going to repeat the CAT scan but the nurse didn’t find the order! Apparently doctor forgot to order it!! Now it supposed to be tomorrow, it's a mess here! Not to mention that the most important thing is that she has to resolve this blockage before continuing treatment for the cancer! I asked for nutrition for her, now she has high blood sugar but unless she goes over 150 they are not going to do anything. They just flood her with morphine and have us waiting here, but in the meantime she has a tube from her nose to her stomach! She is suffering a lot! As if it was not enough with the cancer she suffers now also the tube for days through the nose and I understand that it is necessary but I was told it was for a short time not indefinite days! This is crazy and very sad! What a Mother’s Day my poor mother will get this year! Thank you AdventhHealth

I feel like this is the best hospital in Florida. Nurses and doctors went above and beyond to help us. Everyone is very attentive and willing to help each other if a nurse gets backed up. Highly recommend this hospital to give birth.

It's a great hospital. But you probably could try primary care first.

I have no idea I'm not a nurse and I never had surgery so idk what's that but you can always call Advent health care and the nurses will let you know. They will answer all your questions. Whomever give you that should be able to tell you.

For the mother infant unit (7th floor) there are no set visiting hours for most patients

Is this just for young women? I'm an older woman and I need a checkup.
