Very unorganized, dirty and understaffed place. Please don't bring your loved one there.

We moved my mom in about 8 months ago. It was difficult and heartbreaking. By October, we we on the verge of moving her out, from the strain of changing managers and owners. We had not had an easy time with the former managers. My brother spoke to the new people at their corporate office and told us all that he felt like things were improving. I am so glad we held on! My mom is doing better than we ever had hoped for! Wanda and Ferrah are so good to her. The whole group of care staff just love on her. She always looks happy, clean, healthy and calm. I am so glad we decided to keep mom there. Thank you for genuinely caring for and loving my mother. It is obvious when I go in, this group of people really love the patients they are caring for.

I went to check out what this place had to offer. Took a tour with Michele Postell. She was very kind and helpful and it was very informative. There have been complaints in the past about this place but it’s my understanding that they are revamping everything including staff to make a better and more comfortable space for our loved ones to feel at home. Considering putting a loved one in a home is a delicate and difficult decision. I am very glad I took the tour and highly suggest that you reach out to Michele if you are looking for someone who actually cares to help you in what is probably one of the hardest and most overwhelming times is your life.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE! I got mine out! They were always understaffed, medications were mismanaged ( often went missing or not given). The staff & management was neglectful & abusive. The place was filthy. There was no security at the tower. Anyone from the street could just walk in or they locked the front doors so emergency personnel could not get in to rescue residents in case of emergency. The Fire Dept forces them to unlock the door. They didn’t want to pay staff to man the front desk in the lobby. The call necklaces very often went unanswered. They lock the main floor resident bathrooms except at meal times because they dont feel like cleaning them causing many residents to have accidents. They are forced to go all the way from the common areas to on the 1st floor or the courtyard up the elevators down the halls & to their own apartments to use a bathroom. They get angry at residents if they need help cleaning up in the bathroom. The food is horrendous. I imagine that Prison food is better that what they serve. For over a year their bus was ‘broken’ & the residents were never taken on any outings. They get no exercise. I few times I saw 1 resident in a wheelchair playing Wi bowling in the back room. They consider that a group exercise class. They building & apts are filthy. They do empty the trash daily. Other that that they surface clean (not disinfect) the bathroom & kitchen counter & run a dirty mop over the floor once a week. We had to clean our apt ourselves. The staff fight with each other in front of residents. Yell at, shame & hide from residents so they don't have to work. They have had been reported to the state for abuse & neglect.
