There was insufficient staffing. The woman at the second desk was rude and unprofessional…. She made a comment to my friend ,who is 86 who has been in there every day caring for her husband .—because nowadays nobody’s doing their job or they’re keep complaining that they’re overworked and underpaid.. my feeling is if you don’t like the job leave and go find a new one!! Because the patients and the family members are the ones who suffer with incompetence. The woman looked at her and said why is it that you don’t have anything nice to say, my friends reply was if you did your job we wouldn’t be up here asking for things or complaining!!!!!’ It’s pretty obvious that if you have a loved one in the hospital or rehab center you just have to be there to do the things for them because they’re so getting neglected in every way shape or form!! Sad sad sad so sad!! The room not Up to standards… you just have to stand in the hall and wait to see people sometimes for 30 minutes. To ask for water for the patient or that they may need a bowel movement nobody seems to have any compassion these days.

My mom is currently a resident of ManorCare in Sarasota on the secured unit. The staff is excellent, most especially David, Shay, Melvina and Asst. Nursing Director Loriann. I couldn't be more pleased with the care my mom is receiving, and am grateful she will be well cared for in her remaining time on earth. The unit is clean and never smells unpleasant. The residents seem to be happy and there are daily activities to occupy her time. Thanks again, ManorCare!
