Just called to see if they take on federal social security claims and the women who answered the phone was completely rude and incompetent. She asked me to explain my situation which I did and she informed me that my current lawyer didn't know what he was doing and that they wouldn't be able to help me said good luck and hung up all in the matter of 45 secs. I would never recommend this place to anyone if there anything like the front desk lady.

I hired Mr. Salzman just over 4 years ago to work on my social security disability benefits after I was initially denied coverage. Mr. Salzman took my case and worked diligently on it. No, it's the otheer way around. Social security disability benefits will usually reduce the level of LTD benefits.
Typically, claims are not allowed for substance abuse; otherwise, any physical or mental disorder that caused disability will be consdiered. Private policy claims must arise while the insurance was in force; employer plans require that your condition arise while an active employee.
LTD claims typically do not extend beyond age 65 or other retirement age. LTD claims based on mental disorders are far more limited--usually no more than 2-5 years.
