We just had desert here but it was outstanding, a carmelized apple tart ( puff pastry base) with a desert liquor topping that tasted like excellent brandy along with vanilla ice cream with walnuts inside, Much better than any dessert we’ve had from Dominque Ansel or Moulin. It’s very difficult to find a really good French pastry desert, this was outstanding and far and away much better than the French restaurant/ patisserie in the Carmel shopping area. I recommend having this after lunch with coffee so you can enjoy burning off the calories while walking along the coast afterwards. One order was perfect for two people after dinner.

Depends on what day you go. And how many people are in your party. Weekends are going to be busy with golfers. At least a day ahead of time if there is not a tournament going on. We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and walked in and sat down right away.
Upscale casual should do, if that's a thing. During the day, it's like golf casual

Yes, this place has outdoor dining. Each table has its own fireplace as well. A good place for both a late morning brunch or an evening dinner!
No you should be fine, seen many folks just show up over the years even in parties of 4+.
