Getting out marriage license was quick and easy with an appointment
john mccorsley
I just traveled to Orange County, where I picked up a copy of a marriage license from back in 1972. from the County's Register of Deeds. What a Stellar group of people the county has in that Department. They were very attentive & prompt in providing the requested documents. it's too bad "State Offices" cannot operate as efficiently! Many thanks and well wishes. Each of you deserves credit for professionalism, promptness & EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Went for a marriage license. Man at desk was funny, helpful, knowledgeable, and made the experience worthwhile. Highly highly recommend this place; it was one of my most fun experiences in the whole wedding planning process, entirely unexpectedly.

Call to ask. I had to make an appointment to get a marriage license (took 5 minutes, pretty empty office)
Yes. There is a $15 fee for the photo
The best advice I would give you is to either go into the office or visit orangecountync.gov, go to the services sections and then down to register of deeds document inquiry. You'll be able to search by your name.
Yes you can either register the names at the ROD or you can make changes with sec of state and then file with ROD
No it does not
Certified copy is $10. A plain Xerox is 15 cents.
$10 for certified copy, must have photo ID (drivers license is fine) and must be a blood relative, mom dad grandparents brother or sister. Hope this helps
You need a license or ID and Social security card
Have a new deed drawn up. Make sure you look at recording standards, located on the ROD website. This Wil keep you from having to pay extra fees associated with recording.
