I’ve known about this organization now for about a decade – through my ex-fiance (Loreta Frankonyte) who has a vast background in animal rescue – so when it came time to find the right help for my baby girl Zion, I knew exactly who to contact. My ex girlfriend decided to surprise me with Zion, who was going to be given away or dropped off at a shelter due to a disease she was born with. Me being an “adopt, don’t shop” person, I was really upset about the situation, but in the end was super happy to have Zion in a safe home and environment filled with nothing but love! Wherever I’d go, Zion was with me. She’s been my pup in crime through the highs and lows since October of 2020. When my ex and I separated, by default I was the one who took on full responsibility for her. Zion was a survivor of distemper, and was left with only 4 adult teeth (which were extremely unhealthy, and had no enamel) as well as neurological damage to her nervous system. After year one, she began to slowly deteriorate… she went from being my travel/work partner, to becoming completely uninterested in anything besides food and resting. So I gave her that comfort and support, while in the meantime I was seeking specialists who could assist her. The quotes I was receiving from oral specialists was beyond my financial means, and so I began seeking help from local organizations who may be able to support her medical needs. Although I had insurance for her, the insurance companies would require me to pay out of pocket, and that wouldn’t guarantee receiving my money back, as it would depend on the medical issue(s). Her quality of life went from extravagant, adventurous, and exciting, to dole, plain and boring. My heart felt for her daily. In the end food was her paradise, so I did my best to provide comfort with treats and tasty fresh from the farm meals. That too didn’t last very long, as she’d have a hard time digesting her food at times. Then I’d have to resort to bone broth to clear her tummy, and then try it all over again. This affected her weight, and again, her overall lifestyle. I was running out of options, until it hit me! “I should contact Loreta! She’d have a solution for sure…” So as I reluctantly reached out to Loreta – due to a romantic history and not knowing how she felt about me – I found out that she’s not only partnered with Hope for Paws, but her boyfriend Eldad is the founder. Loreta never got in touch with me directly, as I assumed would be the case, but at least she had Katie contact me the next day. I was hoping to have a heart to heart about Zion, so Loreta would understand how much Zion meant to me. That didn’t happen, and I respect her decision. I was told by Katie, I’d have to legally sign her over to organization so they could make the best decisions for Zion and her life. Because I’d do anything for Zion, I didn’t hesitate. Plus, Katie made it clear to me that I’d receive updates and she’d let me know how everything is going. At the same time she made it clear that Hopes for Paws puts the animals needs FIRST. I’ve received no updates from Katie, Loreta, or anybody from the organization. I can’t help but feel completely disregarded and trashed. As if my connection to Zion was non existent. My only note about this organization would be that they should allocate the time to follow up with the humans who are dealing with separations such as my situation with Zion. All I asked for was an occasional ping. An update. Just to know how she’s doing. It would light me up inside to know she’s being taken care of (which I have no doubt she is). It would also be amazing to see who ends up adopting her. I have nothing but gratitude and appreciation for what HFP's is generally doing. At the same time I HOPE that the organization will learn from this situation, and that maybe an occasional update could go a long way.

Wonderful association.

She accused abandoned dogs as being an owner surrender dog. When I explained the owner of the dog is dying. Katie writes that she hopes he gets better, and said she couldn't help. First of all, these dogs don't have an owner. They were left alone with no food and water at a home after their owner went to the hospital and would not be returning ever to that home If you need help or assistance. Don't reach out to these people, their responses are inappropriate.

Hello Eileen. I am not sure where you are located, but if you are relatively close to our mailbox address, we would love to have your old towels and blankets - this will help us keep the animals extra comfortable. 8950 W. Look into No Kill LA (NKLA). They hold adoption fairs and a lot of their dogs are pitbull-adjacent breeds from local shelters.
Yes, that's what they are all about. Any animal in need of care,or a home, they rescue them and then they either go to a foster home or their forever home. I so support them!!! Aldad, one of the rescuers has an amazing ability to get through to the animals and connect to them.

Hello Angel. We currently don't have any puppies, but I just rescued a VERY pregnant dog, and she is due any day now. The mama is fostered by our friends at The LoveJoy Foundation and the puppies should be ready for adoption in about 10 weeks. Here is the link to contact them - the mom's name is Sally: http://www.lovejoyfoundation.org/
No. But you can do it yourself by taking it to the nearest clinic. We specialize in dogs. Opposums have no paws.
If you would like to ask questions then go to your nearest animal shelter. Look for abused animals and then aslk what would happen ti that person if they were caught

Call them or text them to find out.
It’s German Shepherd Msny many need homes -they r in shelters all over in your area German shepherds need love food and attention and exercise- they r not an amazon product to be “ shipped” they feel sadness happiness - u have to give them time, vet care, not leave them in the yard alone or tied up- All dogs big or small are part of the family - it’s Illegal to tie up your dog or let run on the street
Go to humane society.org or look up cat rescue near you www.petfinder.com Call and email and explain to them Hope for paws doesn’t answer or read these questions and they are very small group U r a brave kind girl to care
Please call humane society or look up animal control in your area online- u have to call and email - many email are not read even the big groups - keep calling til u speak to a person Also rescues in your area www.petfinder.com U tell them where, what kind of dog, how old, as many details can try and feed the dog and leave water and give it a towel or blanket sonewhere safe so it’s not in the sun or cold Hope for paws is not reading these and get many calls - they r very small group
If u see animals with no food or water on the streets You can always put out water and food if u r an adult and it’s safe abd contact many rescues in your area
If you want to foster a mom and puppies you can contact rescues at www.petfinder.com or contact laanimalserves - Rescues adopt our puppies and as soon as possible the mom and puppies are fixed - it is not ok to sell puppies or breed them or the mom - puppies are a lot of work and should never be a gift or given to a child Most of these moms found w puppies are very sick because ppl were greedy and wanted to sell puppies - There are so many animals dying because there are too many ppl breeding and not fixing their animals and they throw them on the street or shelters where the die
call the cops that is animal abuse
I think he/she is scared and probably needs some space, because it takes awhile for a stray cat to trust a person believe me.
If u want to adopt a dog and are serious - understanding it’s probably a 16 year commitment of food, vet care, toys, attention, exercise and training - there are shelters and rescues all over if u r serious and old enough to understand u can’t dump your dog or give it away to someone when u decide to move or leave it alone all the time
Take it to a vet
